Why Hustle culture is not the only way to happiness?

Is ‘Nothingness’ a crime? ‘The more you hustle the better will be your life’ is the dumbest thing.

Leading a Happy life

Travel back in time. A few hundred years ago. I have no clue how the people of that era made a living. But my instinct says it would not have been so complicated.

What could a few hundred years and enormous technological advancements do to society is so frightening. I feel we started to have an indifferent attitude toward the suffering of others. A few decades ago, hard work was so glorified and we worked to get a life that helped us co-exist in society without any differences. All we had to do was work to meet the basic needs.

Look at the current date. The ultimate target is to stand out from the crowd. A mediocre living is not something that glorifies you. You need the best of everything. Cool gadgets. A bunch of highly liquid assets. A classy collection of useless, subjected-to-depreciation liabilities, and an indifferent attitude. Is that all we want, huh?

You need not be ideal in everything you do. It’s okay to be average. It’s okay if you don’t work for 70 hours a week since a big shot in the Indian IT market asked you to. It’s so fair to waste time doing nothing.

Get used to NOTHINGNESS. Prefer sleep to audiobooks on the sub-urban trains. That’s not a crime. Sit idle on the couch and do overthink. What’s wrong? Measuring productivity is up to an extent. All that matters is how happy you are doing something!

Note: I personally felt, there should be some posts related to Nothingness as social media is filled with the so-called influencers and motivators who kill the happiness of people, by telling us what we do isn’t worth doing.
