I wonder am I the only one feeling like missing something since Mar 17, 2020. I’m not pretty sure about what I miss, but of course, I do miss something. At times, I feel like missing interactions with new people on the way to lectures. It’s been 7 months since I have had a face-to-face interaction with my best friend. I did miss out on the wedding of my roommate’s sister. I missed the birthday bash for the last two birthdays. Of course, how did I miss to say that I missed the train journeys?

Digitalization is considered the prime achievement of the decade. Every little thing that was complicated a long ago is made simple when digitalized. Be it finance or health care, digitalization revolutionized how things worked. A common man turns a Chinese hunting breed into a sensation (Please this is not definitely about Musk creating a bloody hype over doge). Digitalization, having done so much to society, why can’t it help me?

I text people on a regular basis. But I never get the joy of interaction. I check upon people to know how they are doing. I never wanted them to undergo the same mental pressure I am under right now. I used to tag myself an introvert. But the months of lockdown and isolation made me realize the fact that introverts are people who don’t break the ice with strangers and not those who don’t speak up with their own circle.

Interaction need not always be verbal. It may be hand gestures or watching someone do something. So, I decided to bring home a cat. I speak with him and play with him unmindful of him understanding it. Everything will be alright in a month or two is what I have been thinking from 2020. Happy to see things getting better. A virtual smile :).
